NEW SPECIAL FEATURE: Top 10 Trends Shaping Packaging for 2010
Future of packaging — our history

Since 1997, we have made the future of packaging a strong focus of our futures work. In 1998, we offered the first of our multi-sponsor programs for packaging executives in a program we called, simply, “The Future of Packaging”.
Again in 2004, in partnership with Mike Richmond and Brian Wagner of PTIS, experts on packaging strategy, we completed a comprehensive exploration of the future of packaging for sponsor groups including executives from CPGs, converters, and raw materials suppliers. The theme in 2004: The package is the product. The program title was: “The Future of Packaging: A Critical Roadmap for the Next 10 Years”.
In 2007, we joined with Mike and Brian of PTIS again to offer our third multi-sponsor program on the future of packaging. With a stronger-than-ever focus on action, we called the program: “The Future of Packaging: 2007-2017 — Strategy to Action”.
Our role in packaging is to keep a focus on the external forces and changes that do or will shape packaging Our successes have come from bringing our knowledge of the future together with the ideas and insights of packaging experts–this meeting of the minds has created breakthrough insights that have helped packaging organizations keep up and get ahead in a fast-changing, high-stakes sector.
As we continue our focus on packaging and its future, this page is our place for sharing ideas and resources. We are ready to help you focus on the trends, challenges, issues, and opportunities in packaging central to your business. Let us know if you would like a keynote talk, a workshop, research and analysis, or if you are interested in participating in our 2010 Future of Packaging program.
